Thank you for your interest in my artwork! Below you will find the return and refund policy for my handmade pieces.
Original Paintings
I offer a 14-day return policy for original paintings, in line with EU consumer laws. This means you can request a return within 14 days after receiving your item, unless otherwise stated.
To be eligible for a return, the artwork must:
- Be in the same condition as when you received it.
- Be in its original packaging.
- Include proof of purchase (e.g., receipt or order confirmation).
The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer, unless the item arrives damaged or incorrect.
Custom Artwork (Commissions)
Custom artworks made specifically to your order (e.g., size, color, or subject) are non-returnable and non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or defective. This is because these pieces are personalized and created uniquely for you.
Damaged or Defective Items
Please inspect your order upon arrival. If your item is damaged, defective, or if you receive the wrong item, contact me within 24 hours of delivery. Include clear photos of the issue so I can evaluate and resolve the matter.
If the item is damaged during shipping, I will work with you to replace or repair it where possible. Issues reported after 24 hours may not be eligible for replacement.
Exchanges
Exchanges are not generally offered, as each artwork is unique. However, if you’re unhappy with your purchase, feel free to contact me to discuss potential options.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, I will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed via your original payment method. Note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
Non-Returnable Items
- Sale or discounted items.
- Gift cards.
- Custom commissions or personalized items.
How to Start a Return
To initiate a return, please contact me at info@denisemartensart.com with your order details and reason for return. If your return is accepted, I will provide instructions on how and where to send the item. Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.
